It’s been a while since my last post but I just wanted to share the news! My very first child was born on Friday! My wife was in labor for about 5hrs 28min, which is relatively quick and there were absolutely no complications. I gave myself a moment to thank God for giving us more than we prayed for. Everyone is home and healthy! It was absolutely amazing to watch my little girl be born. I never knew I could love someone so intensely and so immediately. The first time I saw her she looked familiar yet brand new. Maybe it’s because she holds some resemblance to my wife’s and my own likeness. We now, in the middle of our living room, have a sort of “alter” to the new baby with flowers and digital photo prints evenly dispersed from vase to vase. For you who are parents I’m sure you understand how sweet this moment is. We just want to sit and stare at her and study all the minute micromovements of her face and tiny little body. In my sincere and unbiased opinion, I think she’s the cutest baby I’ve ever seen. I just want to hold on to this precious moment between my wife, my new baby and I forever. If you have any first time baby stories and any ideas of how to commemorate this moment, I’m all ears! Thanks for listening and sharing in this experience with me.
